Do you work directly with hotel architects and interior designers, or with the hotel?
Both. FormForge works directly with hotel architects and interior designers as a specialist fabricator, and also takes briefs directly from hotel owners and hospitality groups. The process adjusts to whoever is leading the project — we are comfortable within architect-led design processes and within owner-direct commissions.
Can you work to a hotel's brand guidelines and design language?
Yes. Hotel sculpture commissions typically begin with the brand's design language and the architectural palette — material, tone, and finish are all driven by that context. We have worked within brand-governed briefs from international hospitality groups and delivered sculpture that is legible as part of the brand without being illustrative of it.
What is the typical timeline for hotel sculpture commissions, from brief to installation?
Most hotel sculpture commissions take 14–20 weeks from brief to installation. Large atrium or multi-storey pieces with structural engineering may require 6–9 months. We are experienced with hotel opening schedules and coordinate closely with project managers to hit handover dates.
Do you provide concept renders and stakeholder presentation material?
Yes. Concept development includes 3D renders, material samples, and scaled visualisations for owner and brand approval. We have prepared presentation packages for international hotel brand design review committees and understand what sign-off processes require.
Can installations be coordinated with the hotel lighting design?
Yes. Lighting is frequently integral to hotel sculpture — grazing light for textured surfaces, backlighting for wall installations, and integrated LED for specific effects. We coordinate with the hotel's lighting designer from concept stage rather than treating lighting as an afterthought.
Do you handle on-site installation in operating hotels with minimal disruption?
Yes. We have experience installing in operating hotel environments — working overnight, in defined windows, with material hoisting and rigging coordinated around guest operations. Installation scheduling is discussed and agreed with the project manager before fabrication begins.
What is the budget range for hotel sculpture commissions?

Can I buy a hotel sculpture directly, or is everything commissioned?
